Lei Yi'an
Associate Professor, School of Physics, Peking University Presentation: Construction Costs Analysis-Horizontal Cities vs. Vertical Cities Lei Yian is a theoretical physicist worked in multiple disciplines. He graduated as a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from Hefei Polytechnic University, a Master and a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from Peking University. He also worked in high performance computing, plasma physics and fusion energy, nuclear energy, etc. He is intrigued by the long term development of humanity, and spent over 20 years to explore the possible development path of human technology for a sustainable and high quality lifestyle for all human beings. The quest resulted in a constantly updating book, “The Next Revolution”, which describes a promising lifestyle for human being to coexist with other species in Earth harmoniously. The key topics are, vertical city, greenhouse farming on high lands, all renewable energy system, ocean regeneration, etc.
