Daniel Safarik is the Director of the China Office and Asia Headquarters of the CTBUH. He is responsible for guiding CTBUH’s initiatives in China and in Asia generally, including establishing events and awards programs, translation of CTBUH publications, and growing CTBUH membership, research, staff and influence in the region.
His responsibilities include representing the Council at events and meetings, selecting and editing research papers, case studies and features for the CTBUH Journal, and managing content for CTBUH International Conferences. Safarik has co-authored or co-edited several of the Council’s recent technical publications.
Trained as an architect and a journalist, he was the director of marketing for Brooks + Scarpa Architects (formerly Pugh + Scarpa Architects) from 2008 to 2011. Safarik reported on technology or edited for business publications for 16 years, including The Economist Group – Look Ahead, Fast Company, Advanced Trading, Individual Investor, the Wall Street Journal and others.
